Iyer then made 102 not out off 43 balls to win by eight wickets with 32 balls left.[7] In Ranchi, Sanju Samson’s 82 off 41 helped India to 249/5, their highest T20I total against West Indies.[15] Mayank Yadav took two wickets in the first over of the chase.[16] Hope (102 off 45) and Sherfane Rutherford (84 off 37) then carried West Indies to 250 in 18.3 overs.[15][4] It was the second-highest successful chase in men’s T20Is.[4] India coach Gautam Gambhir credited the two batters.[17]
